Together, we set out to find a location that would be anything but usual for a boudoir session. The choice was Graffiti Alley, an unconventional yet vibrant canvas where artists have left their colorful mark.

2. Sharnai: A True Brand Ambassador

Sharnai embodies the spirit of Boushie Babes Photography. She initially became a brand ambassador because her first session left her in awe. She was eager to explore more facets of herself, and when we launched our brand ambassador sessions, she couldn't resist the opportunity to work with us once again.

3. Graffiti Alley: A Playground of Colors and Self-Discovery

Graffiti Alley, nestled downtown, offered us a world where we could play, explore, and embrace every facet of Sharnai's personality. It was the perfect backdrop to showcase her inner strength and newfound confidence.

4. Early Mornings and the Magic of Dawn

For this session, we chose an early morning time slot at 6:30 AM. Why? Downtown areas are bustling during the day and night, but the early hours grant us the freedom to capture solo street shots without the hustle and bustle. The soft, ethereal light of dawn added a unique touch to our photographs, creating an enchanting mood.

5. Dancing in the Rain

The day of the shoot greeted us with rain, but that didn't deter us. We both embraced the drizzle and decided to go ahead. As it turned out, the rain created picturesque puddles that added to the possibilities of our shots.

6 & 7. Wardrobe and Props: Unleashing Sharnai's Inner Badass

Sharnai brought an array of outfits, including a black nighty ensemble, a sleek leather jacket paired with jeans, and a cozy sweater. She also came prepared with a bat and a few other props that we used to create magic. The bat, in particular, symbolized her inner badass, and we used it to capture shots that screamed confidence.

8. Challenges and Surprises: Morning Rush and Broken Coffee Pot

Our morning started with a few unexpected challenges. A broken coffee pot left us caffeine-deprived, and we were running late. As the session progressed, traffic started to pick up with the approaching school hours, but these challenges only added to the uniqueness of our experience.

The location, Graffiti Alley, played an integral role in shaping the session. It provided a moody, authentic, and breathtaking backdrop that enhanced our creative journey. We had a blast, and the images speak volumes about the fantastic time we had.

Another workshop?

Today I am going to talk about how we think about things, I used to think I would never do this or do that…

Now I think oh when I do this or do that….

It’s not a matter of if it’s a matter of when.

I wanted to go to 1 live in-person workshop last year, you know what I got to go to 2!!!

I had to really invest in myself to get to the next level in my art, so I did. I did the work for sure, no it was not easy, but it was so worth it. below is a clip of the 2 shoot days and what I was able to create in such a small amount of time.

Now back to the manifesting part, the biggest change for me is when I did the deeper work, I was doing Neuro therapy, affirmations, vision boards, frequency alignment, and clearing my own energy. It’s a ton of hard work, to get to the point I am today, where I not only dream about what I want, I am taking action making plans, and making it happen!!!

I got out of my own way and changed the way I thought about everything. I have been to the beach more in the last few years than I ever have, I went to 2 workshops, I chased waterfalls, and I created the life I wanted to live instead of settling for the cards I was dealt.

So let me ask you this, how are you creating the life you want instead of settling?

My art matters to me, I don’t want to be like every other photographer. I want to capture the human condition!!! So, I have invested over 25,000 on my education and my art. I invest in growing to where I want to be instead of investing in staying where I am.

How are investing in yourself?

Now I will share more from the last workshop I invested in myself and my art.

New sets...

Today, I want to share a few of our sets, mainly the newest one, our all-black set. I have seen different versions of this around for years. After the workshop last April, I knew I had to make this happen this year. So I found a way.

Looked on amazon, and shopped around. Found 2 10x10 black cloth backdrops, then went looking for ways to hang that disappear in photos. I ended up ordering curtain wires but they were stripped out when they arrived so I sent them back and went to Walmart. No luck at Walmart so went over to home depo and found exactly what I needed, wire, and wall mounts, and they blend in and don’t show.

Then we had to hang up everything and try it out, so I did selfies of course,

And I didn’t stop there either, every client who has come in lately has gotten to use the new set, I have to say they love their images as much as I loved my selfies!!! Below is a behind-the-scenes of a session we did recently. I mean this is now my favorite set to shoot on!!

Behind the waterfall...

In this blog, I will show you a few videos of my waterfall session with our Giveaway winner. She had come in before for a full session in the studio, and I knew we couldn’t top her witchy session, so we went outdoors, which was perfect for both of us, we needed to get out and reconnect.

We planned for the end of August, so water levels weren’t too high, fall and later summer are the best times around north Idaho usually. For waterfall sessions. Unless you go south a bit. We headed out early that morning for the waterfall it was an hour away.

We got their storm clouds everywhere, it was chilly and the water was cold, but I knew e could still have an amazing session and we did!!! We laughed, slipped, got wet, and got dusty, but so much fun, and so many good shots too!!!

She bought outfits from Sheen.com, for hella cheap, and they look amazing!!!

Tips for waterfall shot:

1. cloudy days of summer are your friend, golden hour or blue hour as well, depending on the looks you want.

2. Stay away from noon, unless you love a good white-washed image.

3. Zoom lenses are your friend, use them.

4. Know your camera.

5. Have poses in mind or practice beforehand, over the water you hear nothing.

6. Tripods are a wonderful tool to use especially for selfies.

7. Carry towels and robes.

8. Late summer and early fall are the best times around here, avoid spring runoff.

Badass babe....

In this video, we have the amazing Heather, she is such a beauty, I mean woman crushing, type of woman.

I had a blast working with her, and the emotions we caught in 10 minutes of shoot time are amazing, watch me do maybe 3-4 poses and tons of emotion...

If you want to see yourself in a new light you can't afford to wait anymore.

The one thing we never get back is time...

You will never have this exact body again, it will change, things will sag, and you will change over time regardless.

So, learn something from us older ladies who are loving our experiences, do it now!!

Don't wait till you lose the weight, or you get another year older, I wish I had amazing images of myself when I was even more of a bombshell in my 20s and 30s.

The only you gain by waiting is the regret of not doing it sooner!!!

I have heard this from so many clients. They always say they wish they would have done it sooner.

I do offer pre-payment plans, so what that means is you can start paying for a collection now, and by this time next year you will be in the studio having your experience.

If you wait it will be 2 years, not just one ladies. I have a lady coming this week who is so excited because she jumped last year when I rolled out my pre-payment plans, they come with bonuses and extras, and some tips to help you while you wait.

I am phasing out post-payment plans ladies (not a debt collector and it takes too long to get your wonderful images), the post-session plans will be financed through Klarna, or Afterpay only, that way you get your wonderful collections and still get the luxury of paying it off over time.

So all bullshit aside, what's really stopping you?

Tell that voice to shut up when it says but this or but that.....

Your soul and wellbeing need this.

You deserve this.

You are worth it!!!
